| PocketClock®/GPS |
Know your crew is on the job - and at the job. |
 |
PocketClock/GPS is a portable, easy-to-use time and attendance tracking system that uses modern GPS technology to
automatically record the exact location of workers when they clock in and out. While the JobClock is designed to
be locked down and left at a jobsite 24/7, PocketClock/GPS is a portable solution that is ideal for:
- Crews on the move
- Multiple cost codes
- Service and route work
PocketClock/GPS can be used by itself or with JobClocks as part of a fully integrated JobClock System.
Workers can clock in and out on either PocketClock/GPS or JobClock(s) throughout the week. Timekeeping and location
information from both devices is passed into TimeSummit® software, which correlates all of the information automatically.
How does PocketClock/GPS work?
Your crews travel with a GPS-capable Windows Mobile PDA(1) loaded with PocketClock/GPS software.
Using their individual PIN code, each worker can clock in and out and assign cost codes with just a few taps.
PocketClock/GPS also enables Supervisors/Foremen to clock in for entire crews, saving time and further increasing accuracy.
Whenever this happens, the PocketClock/GPS also records the GPS location –
so you know that the clock in/clock out was done while the employee was on site.
PocketClock/GPS is carried into the office to easily synchronize time and attendance records with your office computer for
review and export to your accounting or payroll system. Alternatively, you can quickly transfer attendance and location
records over the Internet from PocketClock/GPS to your office using the JobClock.NET service(2).
Either way, TimeSummit software is your information hub.
Easily Track Cost Codes
Many businesses track various worker activities or cost codes to help with accurate bidding and job costing.
PocketClock/GPS can store any number of cost codes, and workers can select the applicable cost code from a list.
Workers can also easily switch cost codes multiple times during the day.
Foremen and Supervisors have additional field management options available to them. They can clock in for others,
assign cost codes, and enter field notes right into the Windows Mobile PDA.
Accurate information for you and your payroll system
Once the records are in TimeSummit, they can be edited, overtime can be calculated and you can print out dozens of
clear, concise reports. Using AccountLinx software the records can also be exported into most major accounting packages and payroll services.
In addition to standard reports, you can pull up a map in TimeSummit software that graphically shows you where your workers
clocked in and out. You can also set an allowable perimeter around each jobsite – called a geofence – and monitor whether employees
are within the perimeter when they clocked in and out.
(1) PocketClock/GPS software requires a Windows Mobile PDA device that is GPS-capable. If needed, these are available directly from Exaktime.
(2) JobClock.NET service available for PocketClock/GPS in Summer 2008.
